Thank You!

I’ve wanted to write this for awhile now and since it’s the beginning of November, I felt it was appropriate to say thank you. I’m so grateful for all of your encouragement as I build this community to help raise happy girls. To my students, thanks for letting me be your big sister! To all the moms, thank you for allowing me to guide your girls. I don’t take it for granted. Your support, whether it’s a referral or always trying to feed me when I come over, is more meaningful than you know. It takes a village! Thank you for allowing me to pursue my dream!

In the spirit of being an ever-growing mentor, I’d love to hear from you. What topics would you like me to cover? Got a group idea? Any questions for me? Feel free to let me know how I can best serve!

How to Train your Brain to have a Good Day

Today, I’m getting a little personal and sharing part of my morning routine. I believe happiness is a habit. Just like we have to work at dance, sports, school, and more to deepen our practice in those subjects, we have to be willing to put in the time when it comes to happiness. Today I’m sharing my tip for training your brain to have a good day.

A Gratitude Game

If you’re going on a road trip this August, I got a game for you! We played this in my confidence camp and it was a big hit. We’re all told to think about the things we’re grateful for, but this takes it to the next level. Check out today’s video for an easy mood boosting game you can play anywhere.

How to Create Happy Body Habits

Many of my students have come to me with summer body stress and I’ve been mentoring girls towards creating HAPPY habits. Happiness is a choice and defaulting to self-love and acceptance takes practice, especially when it comes to loving what you look like. You were given your body to share your gifts; not as a vehicle to beat yourself up. Whether you’re aware of it or not, we’ve all created body habits that we do without even being mindful if they’re helping us or holding us back. In order to feel positive about your looks, you’ve got to look at the patterns you’ve formed that’s why we’re focusing on creating happy habits. Click here for more.

The Advice I Gave on Boston’s 103.3 Amp Radio!

On Friday I got a call from 103.3’s TJ Show in Boston asking me to share some advice with a complaining co-worker. I was their Chick of the Week awhile back so I was really pumped to go on-air and chat about my favorite tip. Check it out in the clip below. The best part of radio? I gave the interview in my pajamas!

How to Count your #Blessings

Blessed (adj): sacred, worthy of adoration, reverence; put a hashtag on it and does the meaning still hold up? A quick search shows that we’re feeling #blessed for our hot bods, naps, and Thursday night television. Whether we use the hashtag ironically or to announce our thanks online, doing so can dilute gratitude. Feeling blessed is a personal experience. The moments you find yourself feeling thankful are entirely unique to you. They’re sacred reminders that you’re whole, complete, and lack nothing. Add a hashtag and it takes a deeply personal experience and makes it public and searchable. It’s incredibly important to acknowledge our blessings, but how do we do it in an online world? Check out this month’s Smart Girls Group article!
