How to Reflect on 2017

Last week, I held a Holiday HangIn in Hoboken where my students and I reflected on our milestones of 2017, shared what we are grateful for, and set intentions for 2018.

A fun way to look at all the different ways that the girls have grown is to use a blank calendar and fill it out with all the big (both positive and negative) milestones that have happened over the year. It would be fun to fill out one as a family!

Wishing everyone a happy healthy holiday! I’m so appreciative of all the girls that shared themselves with me this year. I am so lucky. We have new mentoring and yoga classes happening in January! Can’t wait to spend time with you in the new year!

Love,
Maggie

How to Train your Brain to have a Good Day

Today, I’m getting a little personal and sharing part of my morning routine. I believe happiness is a habit. Just like we have to work at dance, sports, school, and more to deepen our practice in those subjects, we have to be willing to put in the time when it comes to happiness. Today I’m sharing my tip for training your brain to have a good day.

How to Handle Halloween Stress

I’ve received so many SOS texts about Halloween that I actually feel bad that I’m just doing this video now. Between group costumes and parties the drama has been all over the place. Halloween is a holiday that brings up a lot of issues around inclusiveness, which is HUGE and important to middle and high school girls. Today I’m talking about my two approaches to Halloween stress.

If you Don’t Ask the Answer is Always No

Asking for what I want is scary for me. I’m afraid of imposing on someone. I’m afraid of getting rejected, but at the end of the day, if I don’t ask the answer is always no.

To ask for something I want or need is an act of self value and love.

Stay in your Own Lane

The phrase “stay in your own lane” can be another way to tell someone to mind their own business, but today, I’m talking about it as if you’re saying it to yourself. It’s this phrase that I repeat when I find myself putting a lot of energy into others, which inevitably takes away from some of my own magic. Check out today’s video for more insight!

What to do if you feel like you don’t look like everyone else

Over the last two weeks, I helped a lot of girls through back-to-school shopping breakdowns. What to wear on the first day of school can bring up a lot of questions:

What do I want to look like?
What if I don’t look like everyone else?
What looks good on my body?

Check out today’s video for advice on what to do you’re worried you don’t look like everyone else!

A Gratitude Game

How One Word can Change your World

This week, I got lots of questions about being left out and actually got excluded from a hang out myself. Talk about practicing what you preach! In today’s video, I share the technique I used to help myself feel better. Also this video helps too!

How to Handle Body Stress

I’ve received tons of questions about body stress and how it relates to prom/Memorial Day Weekend. It’s hard to have fun when you’re worrying about what you look like. Body stress is something everyone deals with and today I’m sharing one of the most important things we can do to feel confident in our bodies!
